Anxious Minds Recovery Centre – Service User Review

Written by on August 25, 2020

I suffer from anxiety and depression and a couple of years ago I wasn’t very well and I would have had to wait a very long time for the talking therapies from the National Health which is not their fault because it’s down to funding.

So I went online and I found Anxious Minds and I got on the phone and I think it was Eddie I spoke to and I got to see a counsellor within a week. Then I found out about the Recovery Drop In Centre and I have been coming here and it’s a really good place.

They have courses on where you can learn about how to deal with anxiety and depression, friendships groups where you can come and meet people, have a cup of coffee, have a cup of tea and it’s a really important place. You meet really nice people, I’ve met a lot of interesting people, I’ve done some of the courses which have been very useful and the thing about this place is it’s calm and a very friendly place.

It does help you if you come here and you meet other people and you know you’re not on your own and it’s something that I use to keep my depression and anxiety at bay and it does work and I would recommend anyone to come here and use the counselling services. I think a centre like this is extremely important for people who’ve got mental health problems and I have no doubt that it has saved lives.
