Anxious Minds Recovery Drop In Centre Wallsend

Written by on August 25, 2020

Hi i’m Fiona and i’m the Anxious Minds Recovery Centre Manager. We’re based in The Forum Shopping Centre in Wallsend.

We are set up really to support anybody who’s experiencing anxiety, depression, isolation and loneliness. Anyone can self-refer in and when you join us we register you, you become a member and you’ll find that there’s a really friendly group of clients who are all supporting each other, maybe involved in groups in the centre or coming in for drop-in and just spending a bit of time with us having a cup of tea, having a chat and offloading if they’ve had a difficult time.

We also can refer people through to the counselling service if that’s something that they would like to do. We also help people who have finished counselling, they come and join us and then they can continue with their recovery and maintaining their well-being by joining in groups such as Anxiety Support, Friendship Meeting Groups, Positive Psychology sessions and relaxation tips so it’s a good place to come whether you’re waiting for counselling, whether you’ve had counselling or you just want to come and really connect and make new friends so we’d really like to see you . Please feel free to come along and see us anytime between 10am – 3pm Monday – Saturday in the forum in Wallsend.

See you soon.
